This year has seen Hannah step back from the Rhythmic season for a while. It has been a busy and demanding time with the passing of Hannah’s grandmother on one side and grandfather on the other, a move of home from London to Sussex, and completion of GCSE’s and other academic certificates. Nevertheless, she has used the time to push her boundaries with the ballet, claiming distinctions in 2 more ballet exams, picking up gold medals and cups at Dance Festivals and the privilege of performing with the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain at Sadler Wells in August. At the Sadlers Wells event Hannah furthered her awards collection placing 1st in the senior NYB choreographic competition, adjudicated by Sir David Bintley (Director of the Birmingham Royal Ballet). Sir David also awarded Hannah the Barbara Geoghegan award for Musicality.
Two weeks after the NYB performance Hannah stepped back onto the rhythmic carpet to compete in Malta, her first time as a senior gymnast. She claimed 3rd in hoop, ball and ribbon and 3rd over all. A great achievement!
